Multimedia direction for NDP 2024 at the Padang.
For my first National Day Parade as Multimedia Director, I led the team behind the stage graphics and helped build a coherent visual experience for one of Singapore's largest live public events.

Directing one visual language across a live show
A National Day Parade has to read at several scales at once: to the audience around the Padang, to viewers watching the broadcast, and to performers using the stage as a physical environment. My role was to guide the multimedia team toward a visual system that supported the show's narrative while remaining legible across those different viewpoints.
The work brought together animation, motion graphics and event-scale screen content. Direction at this scale is as much about alignment as image-making: establishing the intent of each sequence, giving specialists a clear visual target, reviewing material in context, and keeping many pieces moving toward the same emotional beat.
Extending the experience beyond the Padang
I also co-directed the music video for Not Alone, the NDP 2024 theme song. That created another expression of the same national moment: more intimate than the live stage, but connected through its sense of place, people and shared experience.
The project reinforced what I enjoy most about multimedia direction: finding the common story between very different canvases, then helping a multidisciplinary team translate it into images that feel immediate to a broad audience.
